KING KONG tells of an ambitious film director Carl Denham and Ann Darrow, the young woman he predicts to be Hollywood’s next big name. Carl takes his film crew on a perilous voyage to the last uncharted place on earth, Skull Island to capture Kong – a creature of legend and the last of his kind.
Kong is taken back to New York to be exploited as a Broadway exhibit. The love affair between Denham’s star, Ann Darrow, and the ship’s first mate, Jack Driscoll, unfolds against the horror of Kong’s ultimate escape and threatened destruction of Manhattan.
